The Fishing has been slow for me lately.  With work and summer plans, I haven’t been able to get out as much as I want to.  With an open window after work yesterday, I decided to hit the water.  If I’m fishing daylight in the summer, my main target is Fluke, so I rigged up some bucktail jigs. I saw some folks catching an abundance of porgies, but I stayed focused and kept my jigs on. After about 20 mins I finally got a tap.  It was a baby fluke that made it’s way off the hook.  Then soon after I caught two shorts in the 16-inch range.

This day marks fluke season for me and I’m pumped to finally catch some doormats!
